Raid on Nairo Quintana's Arkéa-Samsic team

According to the Journal du Dimanche, agents from the central office for the fight against attacks on the environment and public health made a search at the hotel last Wednesday.

Arkéa-Samsic has been one of the teams that has had the worst time in this Tour de France. In addition to the sports results, among which a discreet performance by Nairo Quintana due to the falls, is added an episode that the team experienced in this last week of the race and that we learned about this Monday.

According to the French media Journal du Dimanche, the Arkéa-Samsic team was the victim of a raid carried out by the central office for the fight against attacks on the environment and public health (Oclaesp) during their stay in a hotel in Mégeve in the past Wednesday night for reasons that are still unknown.

In statements to L'Équipe, Arkéa's manager, Emmanuel Hubert, confirmed this information, and the newspaper indicates that one of those investigated was Nairo Quintana, whose room was searched (they also registered that of two other Colombians, his brother Dayer and Winner Anacona) in addition to that of the masseurs and several team cars.

Quintana, who suffered a fall in the first stage of the Tour, was also affected in the fall that occurred on the thirteenth stage of the Tour de France on the way to the Puy Mary, in which he had to leave Bauke Mollema and in which he also Romain Bardet was affected, who managed to finish the stage, but did not start the next day. The injuries affected the performance of the Colombian, who said goodbye to his options to win the Tour two days later on the ramps of the Grand Colombier and who managed to reach Paris after a discreet passage through the Alps.
