Paralympic cyclist Alfonso Cabello, champion of Spain in team speed

The Paralympic cyclist achieved with Sergio Aliaga and Juan Peralta achieved gold in team speed. It was also bronze in the kilometer test.

Paralympic Alfonso Cabello, along with Sergio Aliaga and Juan Peralta, won the gold medal this Friday in the Spanish absolute speed team championship that takes place at the Miguel Indurain Velodrome in Tafalla (Navarra) .

The Cordovan, Paralympic champion in London 2012 and bronze in Rio de Janeiro 2016, was part of the Gurpea Track Team, which prevailed in the final with a time of 47 "060 over Catalonia (48" 218) .

This is the second time that Alfonso Cabello has been on the podium in this edition of the Absolute Spanish Championship competing with the best national 'pistards' without disabilities.

The other medal was the individual bronze in the kilometer event. He only needed three tenths (1.04.246) to don the Spanish champion jersey that Ekain Jiménez achieved (1'03'995), which was just three hundredths better than Pepe Moreno, silver.

Two other cyclists with disabilities participated in this same test: Eduardo Santas, who finished seventh (1'11 "278) and Óscar Higuera, ninth (1'13" 296) .

Previously, Alfonso Cabello also achieved medals in other Spanish Track Cycling Championships. It was bronze in 2018 and silver in 2019 in the kilometer test.
