Otaegui relieves Larrazábal in Valderrama; Catlin continues to lead

The Basque is the best Spaniard in the tournament after signing -3 to +3 in total in the third round. Larrazábal sank with +7. The American commands at -2.

Gipuzkoan Adrián Otaegui is the best classified Spaniard after the third day of the Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters, a European Golf Tour tournament that takes place from Thursday to Sunday at the Real Club Valderrama, in San Roque (Cádiz) .

Otaegui has made his best journey of the three days of play, presenting a minus three card this Saturday with 68 strokes, which gives him a plus three in the accumulated. On Thursday he debuted with 77 hits and on Friday he made 71.

Five 'birdies' this Saturday from Otaegui contrast with the six 'bogeys' he made on the first day, having given a complete turn to his participation. The two best Hispanics classified after the second day, Pablo Larrazábal and Alejandro Cañizares, have not had their best day, moving away from the top positions.

Larrazábal accused his bad start, with a 'bogey' in hole 1 and a triple 'bogey' in hole 2 that made him lose the privileged position he had on Friday, two strokes behind the leader then. Cañizares, for his part, made two double 'bogeys' on holes 8 and 11, which together with two separate 'bogeys' on 5 and 6 curtailed his options to get close to the head.

In the absence of a few holes for the conclusion of the day, the tournament is led by the American John Catlin, who maintains his regularity and leads the classification with three strokes under par, just as he concluded his participation on the second day.
