Osaka will not play Roland Garros

The recent winner of the US Open reported on social networks that she will not be in Paris due to some discomfort in her hamstrings.

Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, winner of the recent United States Open, announced this Friday that she will not play Roland Garros that begins next week due to discomfort in her hamstrings.

"Unfortunately I will not be able to play the French Open this year. My hamstrings are still sore, so I will not have enough time to prepare for the court," Osaka said in a message shared through his Twitter social network profile.

The Japanese, who on September 12 won her second US Open after beating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka (which returned her to the podium of the world rankings, behind Australian Ashleigh Barty and Romanian Simona Halep), considers that the two tournaments have been held very closely for her.

The US Open took place between August 31 and September 13 (the women's individual final was on the 12th), while the Roland Garros tournament is scheduled between September 21 and October 11. Despite his loss from the tournament, Osaka wished tennis players and organizers "the best" and promised to leave again "sooner rather than later" .
