The Alps and La Planche will decide the Tour. Roglic takes 40 '' to Pogacar. Landa is 42 '' from the podium. Today, the results of the PCR tests.

The Tour enters its final week with three alpine stages and the only time trial of the round in 2020, the 36.2 kilometers that will lead to the ascent to La Planche des Belles Filles. Today there will be a day with two second-class ports, one fourth, one first (Saint-Nizier, 11.1 km at 6.5%) and a finish line in Villard de Lans, third, 2.2 km at 6.5%. Tomorrow it will be the turn of La Madeleine and La Loze, and on Thursday, Roselend, Aravis and Glières. Plenty of ground to seek glory.

For now, Primoz Roglic leads comfortably 40 seconds behind Tadej Pogacar, his fellow Slovenian, thanks to the tight control of the Jumbo. At the Grand Colombier he had the last gregarious, Sepp Kuss, left over. Roglic, champion of the 2019 Vuelta, is not afraid of rivals or the coronavirus: "I respect, yes, and I know they will attack me, but I face the key days calmly due to the good form that my teammates and I show. La Planche is doing well for me. I am not disturbed by the virus analysis either, in our team we become extraordinarily aware ".

In favor of Pogacar play his enthusiasm, he accelerates whenever the road gets steep, and a precedent that the yellow jersey forgets: the Slovenian National Time Trial of this course, finished in a climb, the UAE runner pointed it out for in front of Roglic. Names like Fausto Coppi, Jacques Anquetil, Felice Gimondi, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Laurent Fignon conquered the Tour in their debut race. Almost nothing the club he would join.

For his part, Mikel Landa is 42 seconds behind provisional third place, held by Rigoberto Urán. Although the Alava (seventh) is entering the decisive stages "a little tired", he affirms that he will fight "for the Paris box until they reach the strength." Apart from Urán, Superman (fourth), Adam Yates (fifth) and Porte (sixth) are fighting for the places of honor. Eighth and further away (1:41 from Rigo), Enric Mas confesses that he must consolidate "as a leader and acquire more experience" .

Y while the peloton awaits the completion of the PCR tests, the Tour de France has not tested positive for a doping substance since Frank Schleck's was known on the second rest day of the 2012 edition: they hunted him with xipamide, a diuretic. Luca Paolini was detected cocaine in 2015, and the Italian confessed that he was addicted: "I needed sleeping pills and cocaine to wake up." Today we will wake up to the results of the second wave of tests. Two positives for COVID-19 from staff or cyclists will result in expulsion.
