Enzo Zidane negotiates his signing for Wydad of Morocco

It has been announced by Roberto Carlos, the former Brazilian Real Madrid player who acts as the representative of Zidane's son.

Enzo Zidane is negotiating his signing for Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco as announced by his representative, the former Brazilian Real Madrid player Roberto Carlos. "Hello President Naciri, it is a great pleasure for me to speak with you. I hope to close the deal between Enzo Zidane, a very good player, with Wydad, a great club from Casablanca," announced Roberto Carlos in a video on his Twitter account.

Although all the details of the operation are unknown (figures, seasons ...), if the signing is confirmed, the son of Zinedine Zidane will live his third experience outside of Spain. Currently in the ranks of Almería, which he joined in the 2020 winter market, Enzo trained in the lower categories of Real Madrid, making his debut with the first team on November 16, 2014.

In the summer of 2017 the midfielder decided to abandon the white discipline and sign for Alavés, where his promising arrival did not meet the expectations created around his figure and he only played four games with the Basque team, being transferred to the Swiss Lausanne-Sport in the winter market; With the Swiss team he played 16 games in his first season, but could not avoid relegation to the Swiss second division.

Enzo returned to Spain in 2018-19 to reinforce Rayo Majadahonda in Segunda, but at the end of the season he packed his bags for Portugal to join Desportivo Aves.

After returning to Spain to play for Almería, Zidane's son seems ready to live the African adventure and don the Wydad Athletic Club shirt. The Casablanca WAC, as it is known to the fans, is one of the three great clubs in Morocco (together with FAR Rabat and Raja Casablanca) and has 20 league titles and three African Champions in its record.
