Colnaghi wins again and removes Ropero's pink jersey

The Italian repeated victory in Mordano in the third stage of the Giro sub-23 and is the new leader of the race. Wardrobe is fifth before the arrival of the mountain.


The Italian Luca Colnaghi (Zalf) has won the third stage of the Giro Ciclistico d'Italia sub'23, disputed over 151.3 kilometers between Riccione and Mordano, and is the new leader of the race, ousting the Spanish Alejandro Ropero from the position (Kometa) .

Colnaghi, who already prevailed on day two, beat Briton Thomas Pidcock (Trinity Road Racing) and Austrian Tobias Bayer (Tirol) in the sprint.

Overall, Colnaghi leads Belgian Henri Vandenabeele by 1 second and Briton Thomas Pidcock by 16, while Alejandro Ropero (Kometa Xstra) drops to fifth place at 23.

This Tuesday the fourth stage is already in the mountains and includes three passes, completing 159 kilometers between Bonferraro di Sorgà and Bolca.
