Victory of Formolo; favorites come together

The route

After the demanding day of the Col de Porte, another tough day awaits the riders on this third stage of the Dauphiné with a 157-kilometer route between Corenc and the finish in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. The first 85 kilometers will be quiet and will give the opportunity to those who want to find the escape before starting the climb to one of the colossi of the Alps, the Col de la Madeleine, Hors Categorie port with its 17.3 kilometers at 8.3 % that will crown at 2000 meters of altitude. From here they will face a rapid descent and several kilometers of plain that will take them towards Salins-Les-Thermes before starting the final ascent to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, 1st category with its 14.8 kilometers at 6% .


New decisive day for the men of the general classification, who start as the main favorites to win today’s stage. Primoz Roglic, Egan Bernal, Nairo Quintana, Mikel Landa, Thibaut Pinot, Geraint Thomas, Tom Dumoulin, Romain Bardet, Enric Mas, Alejandro Valverde or Miguel Ángel López are some of the riders who start with many options for stage victory in Saint- Martin-de-Belleville.
