Vardy renews for Leicester until June 2023

The 33-year-old English international has topped the Premier League with 23 goals in 26 games. To his credit is the mythical league won in 2016 with the Foxes.

Jamie Vardy and Leicester City have agreed to extend the international forward's contract until June 2023, the English club reported in a statement.

Vardy had a contract until 2022, with which Leicester guarantees the presence of its gunner, who is 33 years old, another season.

Former player of teams such as Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town, Vardy came to Leicester, when he was playing in the second division, in 2012. After achieving promotion in 2014, in 2016 he managed to win the Premier League.

Vardy, a 26-time international, was, with 23 goals, the Premier League's top scorer last season, in which Leicester struggled to enter the Champions League. In the end he finished fifth and will play the Europa League.
