Trincao ends the suspense: he already trained with his teammates

The brand new Portuguese signing had to wait for the club to solve some bureaucratic problems in order to start the preseason. This Friday he was able to train with the group.

Francisco Trincao, the only player who a priori has a guaranteed place in the first team of the nine that started the preseason on Tuesday, could not exercise this Thursday with the rest of his teammates due to bureaucratic problems, according to the club. In any case, they were solved quickly, since this Friday the Portuguese winger received the green light to train with the group. At exactly 9.45 am, the former Sporting de Braga player jumped onto field number 2 of the Ciutat Esportiva, along with Pedri and Matheus Fernandes, to take his first steps as a Blaugrana.

Forty-five minutes earlier, the homegrown players Rafinha, Miranda, Oriol Busquets and Wagué took the field. All of them are waiting for the club to decide its future in the coming days. A priori none of them count for the first team.

The other two to complete the nine footballers remain confined. The first, Frenchman Jean Clair Todibo, after testing positive for covid 19 in Tuesday's test, and the second, Carles Aleñá, as a precaution, since he had direct contact with the French central that day. In principle, Todibo will be confined for 14 days, while Aleñá is waiting to pass a next test. If the Mataró midfielder tests negative, he will be able to join the training sessions.

The next session of the players who have started the preseason is scheduled for this Saturday at 9 am. The group will be divided into two again as established by LaLiga's security protocol to maintain social distancing.
