The Jumbo rules in Porte: triumph and leadership for Roglic

Ineos put pace on the climb but in the final stretch the Slovenian's team was stronger, winning again in the galactic squads duel.

The route

Great mountain stage this Thursday at Critérium del Dauphiné over a 135-kilometer route between Vienne and the summit of Col de Porte. After a start with the intermediate sprint of Pajay and the Côte de Virville (3rd) and the Côte de Roybon (4th) as the main difficulties that could help to create a break, the race will get tougher in the last 50 kilometers with the climb to the Côte de Maillet, 1st category with its 6.2 kilometers at 8%, before facing the descent and a flat area on the way to Saint-Égreve, where a few kilometers after passing the village they will begin the very hard climb towards the final summit from Col de Porte, Hors Categorie port with its 17.5 kilometers at an average slope of 6.2%.


Day marked in red for the men of the general classification who will seek to take a hit in the face of qualifying and, incidentally, add a prestigious stage victory. Names like Egan Bernal, Primoz Roglic, Tom Dumoulin, Steven Kruijswijk, Geraint Thomas, Mikel Landa, Alejandro Valverde, Enric Mas, Nairo Quintana, Miguel Ángel López, Rigoberto Urán, Tadej Pogacar, Thibaut Pinot or Romain Bardet start as great favorites to the triumph as long as the leak does not surprise
