The Australian Herald Sun event, the most important in that country after the Tour Down Under, will not celebrate its 2021 edition due to the uncertainty created by the Covid-19 pandemic, as announced by the organization.The Herald Sun, whose winners this year were Australians Jai Hindley (Sunweb) in men and Lucy Kennedy (Mitchelton-Scott) in women, is unmarked from next season's calendar due to the health crisis affecting the Victoria region

"We did not make this decision lightly, but the high level of uncertainty currently created in the Victoria region by the Covid-19 health crisis presents too many challenges to continue," explains Tom Salom, the race director.

The organization already refers to the 2022 edition regarding an event "extremely important for cycling and the Victoria region" .
