British Scott Redding (Ducati Panigale V4R) won the first race of the Prosecco DOC Aragón of the World Superbike Championship held at the Motorland circuit in Alcañiz (Teruel), which he dominated with his compatriot and teammate Chaz Davies.

Welshman Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki ZX-10RR), who arrived as the leader of the event for the fourth round of the world championship, had to settle for third place on the podium, on a track that he is particularly good at, but in which he is not could do nothing about the potential of the Ducati.

Redding took the lead of the race, contested over 18 laps, in the seventh lap after overtaking Rea who had led until then in the 5,077 meters of the Alcañiz track and from that moment on he did not relinquish his privileged position.
