Britain's Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) took the lead in the World Superbike Championship by completing a perfect weekend in Portimao (Portugal), where he dominated Race 1, Superpole and Race 2.

From this Sunday Jonathan Rea appears, with 4 points of advantage, at the top of the classification after his superb performance at the Autódromo Internacional del Algarve.

The Briton was the best in Saturday's race and this Sunday he rounded off his assault to the lead with another victory in Race 2, in which he beat his compatriot Scott Redding (ARUBA.IT Racing Ducati) .

The Dutch Michael van der Mark (PATA YAMAHA WorldSBK Official Team) was third, followed by the British Chaz Davies (ARUBA.IT Racing Ducati) and the Spanish Álvaro Bautista (Team HRC) .
