The Wyndham Championship, in which Jim Herman won, marked the end of the unusual 2019-2020 regular season of the PGA Tour, with many tournaments rescheduled or even canceled - like the British Open - due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now it is the turn of the FedExCup playoffs, made up of three events in three weeks, which will start this Thursday with The Northern Trust.

In it, there will be the 125 best classified in the FedExCup, a ranking made up of the points that players receive each weekend in the different tournaments of the circuit. Sergio García and Rafa Cabrera Bello will not attend, both outside the positions that gave access to the qualifiers. The one who will be there will be Jon Rahm, who arrives defending the number one and with a good wad of bills in his pocket for a prize received these days.

At the end of the regular season, the Wyndham Rewards were awarded for the second year in a row. A total of 10 million dollars (about 8.5 million euros) is distributed among the top ten classified in the FedExCup. This money rewards the regularity of the golfers throughout the season. Justin Thomas topped the standings thanks to his three wins and nine top ten this season, receiving $ 2 million (more than 1.5 million euros). Only Jon Rahm, Webb Simpson and Rory McIlroy repeated their presence in the standings compared to last season.

For his part, Rahmbo repeated the same result from last year, finishing tenth and earning $ 500,000 (more than 400,000 euros) thanks to his victory at the Memorial and five top ten. This money is added to the almost 4 million dollars (3.3 million euros) that the Spanish has earned throughout 2019-2020. In his five years as a professional, Barrika's has already exceeded 20 million dollars (almost 17 million euros) in prizes.
