Pjanic, positive for coronavirus!

The Bosnian midfielder will not join training next Monday, August 31. The player is confined to home after feeling unwell and taking tests this Saturday.

A Ronald Koeman is finding his first steps as coach of FC Barcelona extremely complicated. To the problems he is having to give way out to the discarded players and Messi's doubts about his continuity in the new project, he has now been joined by the confirmation by the Bosnian midfielder, Miralem Pjanic, he has tested positive for coronavirus after being ill these last days and get PCR tests done this Saturday.

Thus, the former Juventus player will have to be confined to his home for 15 days as established in the prevention protocol in these cases. That means that in no case will it be presented next week, nor will it begin training with Barcelona from Monday, August 31, much less will it join its team, Bosnia, which plays two games at the beginning of September.

Pjanic will have to wait a minimum of two weeks to start his journey at FC Barcelona. Before joining his new teammates, the midfielder will undergo a new PCR test.

It is clear that Koeman's project has not gotten off to a good start: Messi's doubts, Luis Suárez's anger, Ter Stegen's operation and Pjanic's positive do not exactly invite optimism.
