O'Ward, Alonso's partner, the best of 'Carb Day'

The Mexican McLaren and Chevrolet engine was the fastest in the last tests before the race with Fernando 23rd and Palou 10th.

The famous stories of the glasses. Half full. Patricio O'Ward, teammate and Fernando Alonso with the same car, managed to be the fastest in the so-called Carb Day, the last free practice of this Friday prior to the Indianapolis 500 race and he did it with the same car that he has the Asturian. Half empty. Alonso again qualified far behind, 23 with a speed of 222,680 miles per hour. In other words, there is potential, but the Spanish has not yet managed to exploit it.

Fernando finished the test with 72 laps and without major problems and remains confident that he will be able to do a good race, but he is aware that it will not be easy at all considering how he has done so far in the previous moments, because really, except in the first two free practice, he has never managed to be with the best.

Another thing is Álex Palou, who finished tenth on Card Day with good feelings and every time he got in the car he has shown he can be in the battle.

Following O Ward, Scott Dixon, the Indy Car leader, and two champions in 20156 and 2017, Alex Rossi and Takuma Sato. Now there is only the moment of truth.
