Luis Enrique dares with the hard climb to La Cubilla

Spanish soccer coach Luis Enrique Martínez took advantage of his stay these days in his native Asturias to practice another of his great passions, cycling, a sport of which he has confessed himself as a great supporter on more than one occasion.

Luis Enrique published a photo on his social networks in which he appears at the top of the port of La Cubilla, one of the most demanding ports in Asturias with its 17.8 kilometers at 6.2% and ramps of up to 9% that already he was promoted as the final stage in the last Tour of Spain with victory for the Danish Jakob Fuglsang.

The selector is a regular on bike rides and has dared with other tough ports such as Angliru as well as participating in some of the most demanding events on the MTB calendar such as the Cape Epic of 2018 or daring with the Titan Desert. During an interview with La Bicicleta Café Castellón with Kiko García, Luis Enrique highlighted the influence of cycling in his daily life. "I fall in love with the camaraderie in cycling," said the coach, who hurries his days off before returning to prepare for the return of the competition with the Spanish team in the Nations League on September 3 against Germany.
