Langasque opens in Wales with Campillo in the top-10

The Frenchman won his first tournament on the European circuit after the collapse of Saturday's leaders Syme and Soderberg. The Extremaduran, at -3, finished five strokes.

The Frenchman Romain Langasque starred in the best lap of the last day, with 65 strokes, to score the Welsh Open, his first victory of his career on the European circuit, while the Spanish Jorge Campillo finished in eighth place.

Langasque reversed the deficit he had with respect to the Scotsman Connor Syme and the Swede Sebastian Soderberg, who started on Sunday in the lead and won with a total of 276 hits, with two advantage over the Finn Sami Valimaki and three over the English Matthew Jordan and David Dixon.

Soderberg signed a 74 to finish fifth with 280 and for Syme the day was even worse, since he presented a card with 75 and concluded eighth with 281, tied in a group with Campillo, who repeated Saturday's 69 and reached the goal of finishing in the top ten. Sebastián García could not achieve it, who finished the day above par (72, +1) to finish twenty-seventh with 284 hits, one less than Adrián Otaegui.
