Jesús Herrada, among those chosen by Cofidis for the Tour

It will be the sixth participation of Cuenca in the Tour, in which he finished 20th in 2019. He will be accompanied by riders such as Laporte, Edet and Viviani.


The Spanish Jesús Herrada (Mota del Cuervo, Cuenca, 30 years old) is among the five fixed riders for the Tour de France announced by Cofidis, whose leader for the general will be Guillaume Martin, third in the recent Dauphiné.

For the Tour that starts on the 29th in Nice, the French squad will be structured around Martin and the Italian sprinter Elia Viviani, who will fight for the stages that are resolved by speed. Both riders will be accompanied by Christophe Laporte, Nicolas Edet and Jesús Herrada.

It will be Herrada's sixth participation in the Tour, in which he finished twentieth in 2019. His mission will be to support the leader of the formation in the fight for the general classification and seek with his experience some stage triumph. The names of the three remaining runners will be released next week. Its director will choose the runners to pursue the interests of Martin and Viviani.
