Indianapolis 500 2020: schedule, TV and where to watch live online qualification

We tell you the date, time, where to watch live on television and how to follow the Indy 500 live online, Alonso's third attempt at the Triple Crown.

On Wednesday, August 12, the track activity begins for the 2020 edition of the Indianapolis 500. This year, like so many other events, the global COVID-19 crisis has changed the dates of the mythical American race traditionally held in May. The appointment had to be moved until the end of August and last week, the organization announced that it would be held without an audience in the stands, although initially it was planned that the Indianapolis Motor Speedway would occupy 25% of its capacity.

This unusual edition will be that of Fernando Alonso's third participation. The Asturian will look again for the missing leg for the long-awaited Triple Crown formed by the Monaco F1 GP, the 24 Hours of Le Mans of the World Endurance Championship and the Indianapolis 500 of the Indycar. In addition to Alonso, who competes with the Arrow McLaren SP team, there will be another Spaniard on the track: Álex Palou, with Dale Coyne Racing.
