Gudelj travels to Germany after testing negative for coronavirus

The midfielder was the only positive in the squad just over two weeks ago. Already recovered, it is not ruled out that he will enter the list against United.

Nemanja Gudelj immediately joins the Sevilla squad in Germany. The Serbian midfielder traveled to Dusseldorf this Thursday after receiving medical discharge, as he gave two negative PCRs in a row, and will therefore be able to place himself under the orders of Julen Lopetegui after having missed the eighth and quarterfinals against Roma and Wolverhampton .

Gudelj was the only player in the Nervionense squad positive for coronavirus a little more than two weeks ago, when the Nervionenses returned to training after a week of vacation to prepare for the final phase of the Europa League. The pivot has not stopped training individually at home and will be able to complete some training sessions with the rest of the squad. It cannot be ruled out that he is among the 23 summoned to face Manchester United on Sunday.

Lopetegui actually needs more players for two areas in which he does not have too many troops, such as the defensive pivot, where Fernando or Nemanja usually play, and the center of defense. In the rear it has Koundé, Diego Carlos and Sergi Gómez from the first team and the player from the subsidiary Genaro, who traveled to the tournament. Gudelj has also regularly acted as a defender.
