German Felix Brych has been appointed by UEFA to referee Sevilla-Manchester United, the first semi-final of the Europa League, which will be played in a single match and closed doors next Sunday (9:00 p.m. CET, 7:00 p.m. GMT) at the Köln Stadium in Cologne (Germany)

Brych, 45, and a FIFA referee since 2007, recently led the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Manchester City and Real Madrid, in which the Spanish team was eliminated.

The German will be assisted on the wings by his compatriots Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp, while the fourth official will be Daniel Siebert from Germany.
