There are 5 days left until the start of the Tour de France on August 29 in Nice and the trickle of teams continues announcing their lists of eight riders for the next edition. The UAE Emirates and the Deceuninck Quick-Step, two teams that are expected to be the animators of the race, announced their teams earlier this Monday.

The UAE Emirates has unveiled its roster for the Grande Boucle, where it will attend with two theoretical leaders of ranks: the young Tadej Pogacar and the Italian Fabio Aru. Pogacar, third in the last Tour of Spain, is postulated as the great asset of the team although he will be well supported by a Fabio Aru who wants to green old laurels in the gala round.

In the mountains both will have a powerful team made up of the Italian Davide Formolo, the Slovenian Jan Polanc and the Spanish David de la Cruz, while the work on the flat will be for Marco Marcato and Vegard Stake Laengen. Emirates will also be present at the massive arrivals with Norwegian Alexander Kristoff.

Alaphilippe will be the leader of the Deceuninck Quick-Step

He also presented his team this Monday the Deceuninck Quick-Step. The Belgian squad will be led by Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe, who wants to take another step on the Tour after shining in last year's edition, where he wore the yellow jersey for 13 days and finished fifth overall.

Alaphilippe will be backed by a powerful off-road block consisting of Kasper Asgreen, Dries Devenyns, Tim Declercq, Bob Jungels and Zdenek Stybar. The Deceuninck Quick-Step will also look to star in the massive arrivals with the presence of Michael Morkov and Sam Bennett.
