Eibar easily beat Mirandés in Mondragón

The Guipuzcoans prevailed thanks to three goals, from Asier Benito in the first half, Quique González and Kike García in the second half.

Eibar easily beat Mirandés (3-0) on Friday in their first friendly at the Atxabalpe field in Mondragón, where they train regularly. The Guipuzcoan First Division team beat Burgos, Second Division, thanks to three goals, Asier Benito scored in the first half; while Quique González and Kike García scored in the second half. It was an atypical game because it was played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus and, in addition, cut in time, with only 70 minutes divided into two parts of 35 minutes.

The Barça coach (they have played in white), José Luis Mendilibar, used 21 players, almost two different teams, since the only one who repeated in the second half was Atienza. For his part, the coach of the rojinegros, José Alberto López, who made his debut on the Burgos bench (replaces Andoni Iraola), lined up only 13 players.

The locals sought victory from the beginning. Thus, in minute 3 Sergi Enrich crashed a ball into the post for the Eibar, who went ahead on the scoreboard (min. 8) thanks to a goal from Asier Benito, who in the area spliced a good pass from the left wing of Jaime God. Jaime Dios himself was able to increase the rent before the break, which was reached with 1-0.

In the second half, Quique González put the victory on track with the second goal (min. 41) from Kike García, who rounded off the victory from Eibar by heading the final third goal (min. 49) in a corner kick thrown by Rafa Soares .
