Démare is still sweet and leaves Cortina without victory

The French sprinter was the fastest of the second stage of the Tour Poitou-Charentes in which the Spaniard from Bahrain finished second. His seventh win of the year.


Arnaud Démare (Groupama) was the fastest in the sprint with which he decided the second stage of the Tour Poitou-Charentes, which takes place in France with eight World Tour teams and a list of riders who are not present in the Tour de France. The Groupama, recent champion of France and European silver, achieved his second consecutive victory ahead of the Spanish Iván García Cortina, who got into the sprint and finished in a meritorious second place.

The test, which ends this Sunday, this Saturday has two sectors, one of 99 flat km in the morning and a time of 25 in the afternoon that will be key to the final outcome.
