Colnaghi takes the second stage: Ropero continues to lead

The Italian won the second set ahead of Belgian Meeus and Italian Milan. The Andalusian kept the pink jersey on a day of falls.

Italian Luca Colnaghi (Zalf Euromobil) won the second stage of the Giro d'Italia sub23, disputed between Gradara and Riccione, of 119.9 kilometers, in which Spaniard Alejandro Ropero (Kometa Xstra) kept the pink jersey as leader.

Colnaghi won ahead of Belgian Jordi Meeus (SEG Racing) and Italian Jonathan Milan (Cycling Friuli). The stage was marked by bad weather and some crashes that led to neutralizing the race for 30 minutes.

At the restart, 5 runners left, including Sergio García (Kometa-Xstra). Finally the escape did not work and Colnaghi was able to finish off his victory. The third stage will be held this Monday with a route of 151.3 kilometers between Riccione and Mordano.
