Camavinga and Upamecano, main novelties of the Deschamps list

The Rennes midfielder became one of the youngest players to go with the French senior for games against Sweden and Croatia.

Didier Deschamps announced the list of the French team to face the matches against Sweden (September 5, 8:45 pm) and Croatia (September 8, 8:45 pm), with the main news of Eduardo Camavinga, Houssem Aouar and Dayot Upamecano. The Rennes midfielder replaced Paul Pogba at the last minute after Manchester United's being diagnosed with coronavirus, becoming one of the youngest players (17 years old) to go with France's senior team. For his part, the Olympique Lyon midfielder has preferred to play for France rather than Algeria and the Leipzig center-back has been called up after his great performance in the Champions League, in which he reached the semi-finals with RB Leipzig.

Another of Deschamps' novelties on the list has been Ferland Mendy. The left-back of Real Madrid has established himself as fundamental for Zinedine Zidane in 2020 and has returned to the national team after more than a year and a half of absence. Rabiot and Martial, who were not on the last Les Bleus list, have also made an appearance again.
