Brais Méndez and Santi Mina test positive for COVID-19

The two soccer players are asymptomatic cases and are confined to their homes. They will not be able to start the preseason with Celta today.

The results of the PCR tests to which the Celta players were subjected last Saturday have detected two positive cases in the Vigo team. As AS has been able to confirm, they are Brais Méndez and Santi Mina, who are already confined to their respective homes and will not be able to leave until they give two negative results.

Both footballers are asymptomatic cases and are in good condition. They were scheduled to start the preseason with Celta this afternoon at the sports facilities of A Madroa, but they will leave after testing positive for COVID-19. However, a second PCR test is pending to confirm positive cases.

In the event of giving negative in this second test, it would be a false positive and they could train with the rest of the squad at the beginning of the preseason. The rest of the Vigo team will undergo new PCR tests in the next 48 hours to rule out new cases.
