A new season begins, 2020-21, with the new reality imposed by COVID-19 and Real Valladolid is no stranger to it. At 6:00 p.m. a first group of players was summoned to do the first individual training of the season, but this was decaffeinated. No group photo, no fans in the stands, not even on the access stairs to the Annexes. Only three people, two women and one man, behind the fences that have been installed on both sides of the central area of the stadium.

The first group was already on the grass at 17:55. The players with gray equipment, the coaching staff and assistants, in red. At 6:00 p.m., first talk by Sergio González and first indications by Sergio Dorado, the team's physical trainer. In this first session were Masip, Samu Pérez, Moyano, Antoñito, Luis Pérez, Joaquín, Javi Sánchez, Nacho, Carnero, Moi, Aguado, Anuar, Alcaraz. In total 13 players to which must be added Olivas, with crutches, who attended the talk and then withdrew due to injury and Bruno González, who this morning reported that he had tested positive in the PCR. The session, lasting around 45 minutes, consisted of interspersing continuous running with other coordination exercises, with and without the ball, to finally retreat to the artificial grass field to stretch. The goalkeepers worked separately with José Manuel Santiesteban and Álvaro Rubio, while Joaquín also did work on the sidelines with the readapter, Raúl Zarzuela, due to the injury that prevented him from finishing the season in the gluteus.

At 18:50 the second group was already on the grass with the same routine. All separated, starting at 7:00 p.m., talks by Sergio González and Sergio Dorado, and a continuous race interspersed with other coordination exercises. In this group they worked: Caro, San Emeterio, Míchel, Luismi, El Hacen, Kike, Hervías, Plano, Toni, Waldo, Orellana, Sergi Guardiola, Miguel, Marcos André and Chris Ramos. Also in this group, Kike worked on the sidelines, with Zarzuela, in the process of recovering from his left knee injury that occurred in the game against Barcelona, while Caro trained with Santiesteban.

There were no other players from the subsidiary such as Alende, Doncel, Oriol or Corral, who are looking for a loan in Second, nor was Stiven Plaza, which is closing its pass to Turkey. For his part, Sekou Gassama, meanwhile, was absent from the session due to leave, since his team finished the league just a week ago.

In tomorrow's session, Friday, at 6:00 p.m., it will also work individually, but in two groups like today, while on Saturday, at 6:30 p.m., all the players will be able to work together. On Sunday, first double session: at 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
