Alavés obtains the loan of Deyverson from Palmeiras

The Brazilian forward, who already belonged to the Vitorian squad in 2016/17, where he scored seven goals in 37 games, arrives on loan.

Deportivo Alavés has a new member in its ranks. Deyverson Brum Silva Acosta. The Brazilian, who arrives at Deportivo Alavés from Sociedad Esportiva Palmeiras, will play on loan for one season. Last year he was at Getafe but, having to pay a high amount so that he could finish the campaign, the Azulones did not make that option effective and Deyverson returned to Brazil, where he was removed from the daily dynamics of the team.

Deyverson (Rio de Janeiro, 05/08/1991), was trained in the lower categories of Grêmio Mangaratibense. In 2012 he made the leap to Europe and ended up in the ranks of the Portuguese Benfica where he made his debut in the Portuguese league. After passing through the Eagles team, the Brazilian was transferred to the Portuguese squad of Os Belenenses. Two years later, in 2015, he ended up on loan, in the German Bundesliga where he was part of FC Köln. Later he signed with Levante UD to arrive in Vitoria-Gasteiz on loan in 2017.

After his stint at Deportivo Alavés, Deyverson signed for Palmeiras until last season, which he played on loan for Getafe CF. In Vitoria he played the final of the Copa del Rey in 2017 against Barcelona (3-1 at Vicente Calderón) but no agreement was reached for him to continue in the Albiazul team due to the high amount to close the operation. From a sporting point of view, Alavés liked to continue counting on his services. He was an intense and hard-working striker, always annoying to the opposing defenses. He also had a good connection with the stands, although now there are no fans in the stadiums. He lived on Calle San Antonio (downtown) and was always accompanied by his brother or some close friends. He empathized a lot with the people of Vitoria.

In his time as a babazorro, Deyverson played 37 games with the elastic albiazul, starting in 32 of them: 32 games played in LaLiga Santander, starting in 29, and 5 games played in the Copa del Rey, starting in 3 of them. He harvested 7 goals. Deyverson's return is good news and confirms the intention of the club's Sports Directorate to bet on players who were in Vitoria in his day: Jony (Lazio) or Pedraza (Betis) are some other examples right now.
