The Catalan government has agreed this Tuesday to propose Maria Teixidor as president of the board of directors of Circuits de Catalunya, the company that manages the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Govern also raises Josep Lluís Santamaría as director general of this company and modifies the company's statutes to define a new governance model that reinforces the figure of the presidency.

Teixidor is a lawyer and mediator specialized in intellectual and industrial property, license management and intangible rights and compliance, and was part of the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona between 2015 and 2020.

Teixidor will replace Vicenç Aguilera on the board of directors, who ceased as a member of this body and also as president.

Currently the presidency of Circuits de Catalunya is held by the president of the RACC, Josep Mateu.

Circuits de Catalunya is the company that manages the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and its shareholders include the Generalitat, the RACC and the City Council of Montmeló, the town where this circuit is located.
