German Maximilian Schachmann (Berlin, 26 years old), winner of Paris Nice 2020, has renewed until 2024 with Bora-Hansgrohe, a team that has also extended a contract to Cesare Benedetti and Lukas Pöstlberger.

Although Schachmann had offers from various teams, he has finally decided on the current bet, as Bora Hansgrohe technicians consider him a runner to fight for the overall in major races.

"I have improved a lot in this team and I feel at home here. I am a fairly complete runner and we want to go to races where I can demonstrate my greatest potential. I will be perfectly helped in this regard," said the German after announcing his agreement.

The team's director, Ralph Denk, admitted the bet for the future with the Berlin rider. "I always said that we were aiming for the long term with Maximilian Schachmann. With his victory in Paris Nice he has shown himself as a runner for the general classification. You have to see how he can evolve in this field but he has many qualities," said Denk.
