Fernando Alonso's return to Formula 1 brings with him a great record full of victories, poles, quick laps ... crowned with two world champion titles with Renault in 2005 and 2006. Two championships to his credit that could have been been more after the runners-up of 2010, 2012, 2013.

First steps in F1: Minardi 2001

He made his debut in 2001 with Minardi, a team he joined on loan from Renault. Run 17 races with a 10th place finish in Germany for the best result.

Arrival at Renault in 2002.

After passing through Minardi Alonso he arrived at Renault as a test pilot and in 2003 he was already an official pilot. Win the 2005 and 2006 titles.

March to McLaren. 2007

After his two-time championship he signs for McLaren, where he remains for only one year: he runs 17 tests, achieves 4 victories, 2 pole positions and 3 fastest laps and 12 podiums. Finish third overall.

Return to Renault. 2008.

Second stage at the rombo team. In two seasons he achieves 2 victories, 1 pole, 2 fastest laps and four podiums.

Transfer by Ferrari. 2010.

After two years without results at Renault one of the great bets for the Asturian. At Ferrari he stays for five seasons: 96 races, 11 victories, four pole positions, 8 fast laps and 44 podiums, with the 2010, 2012 and 2013 runners-up as the best overall results.

Back to McLaren with Honda. 2015.

Closes his F1 participation with four seasons in Honda-powered McLaren: adds two fast laps to his record in all 78 races with the Japanese engine. In 2018 he announces that he leaves Formula 1
