Ducati strengthens

The Italian factory tested for three days in Misano and again innovated in aerodynamics in addition to implanting a Brembo front caliper.

They had to lower the blind due to the coronavirus crisis, but that did not mean that the factories parked the work. With everything ready to start the season and the goal of dethroning Márquez after three consecutive years with honey on his lips, in Borgo Panigale they have continued investigating how to improve the Desmosedici to rise again and the latest tests they carried out with their tester Michele Pirro, in Misano, have given them the assurance that "the Ducati riders will be ready for the first event in Jerez". This is how the Italian summarizes the three days on the transalpine track, where the aerodynamic improvements and a front brake system were the reasons for that conviction.

"We can be at the highest levels of competitiveness", Pirro continued in 'GPone.com', after three days that have “allowed them to regain confidence with the bike”. The tests did not leave them very good feelings, as the Italian confirms "some aspects were pending", and now it seems that they will start with the confidence of having found a way in which to be competitive. In its desire for innovation and aerodynamic revolution, the surprise came with an expansion of the front wheel fairing that covers the fork, in order to end the disturbing flow generated by the rotation of the tire, in addition to improving air extraction which is directed to the cooling system

As for the rear, they also implemented a carbon flux transporter that works together with the low deflector of the swingarm and the semi-lenticular covers of the rear wheel although on this occasion, much of the prominence was acquired by the Brembo front caliper. This element, made of aluminum, has allowed material to be discarded from that area without affecting the rigidity of the system, but it has also been designed to act as a radiator and optimize performance, improving the cooling of the caliper and providing greater reliability. which, from July 19, will be tested alongside the other mounts. Despite the fact that they will arrive completely blind to Jerez with respect to their other rivals, the confidence from Bologna is full and they could once again revolutionize a grill that eagerly awaits the first appointment of the year.
