Caja Rural will concentrate in July with the Vuelta in mind

The Caja Rural-Seguros RGA team will focus from June 28 to July 5 in Pamplona with the aim of "thoroughly preparing the guidelines for an atypical end of season", especially the Tour of Spain, the great objective of the year. After the forced stoppage due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the professional team of Caja Rural-Seguros RGA will meet again in a concentration, this time with a special plan that consists of recognizing in detail the seven stages of the first week of the Vuelta that will begin on October 20 in Irún.

Pamplona will be the scene of the reunion of fifteen of the 21 cyclists of the team, along with their leaders and technical management. The chosen hotel, Bed4U, has adapted with the maximum prevention measures of the Covid-19, both in the rooms and in the common areas, even installing a non-contact thermal detection system.

In addition, throughout the week, cyclists and other members of the formation will limit contact with people outside the team bubble, to minimize the risk of contagion. Likewise, all team members have undergone the corresponding tests to attend the concentration and comply with all the rules of this new normal. On the first Monday of the rally the team will depart from Pamplona to fully recognize the stage with a final in Lecumberri. The next day, the stage between Irún and Arrate will be covered. In the subsequent days, the entire team will travel to Soria to inspect the stages of Lodosa - Laguna Negra and Garray - Ejea de los Caballeros.

And for the final part it will return to Pamplona to complete the routes between Huesca - Sabiñánigo, Logroño - Alto del Moncalvillo and Vitoria - Valdegovía. Rubén Martínez, sports director Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, announces a meticulous and full of work to face the season.
