Brizuela: "We want to get out of here with at least half a smile"

Darío Brizuela spoke after Unicaja's tough defeat against Baskonia that leaves Malaga without options in the Final Phase.

Unicaja guard Darío Brizuela affirmed this Wednesday, after yesterday's defeat against KirolBet Baskonia after an extension that leaves them out of the Endesa League semifinals, who left with the feeling that, rather than winning the match as a whole Basque, they lost it.

Brizuela, at a press conference from Valencia, where the phase for the title is being disputed, indicated that the team from Vitoria "has its merit" and played "a very good game", but they left "with the feeling of having victory" and that they escaped.

The Malaga team achieved victory in the final moments of the match and in overtime; and Brizuela said that "it is difficult to paint a play that gives you open shots at this level", although it did not come out because "Baskonia defended very well" .

Unicaja disputes tomorrow the last match against RetaBet Bilbao Basket with nothing at stake, although he pointed out that they have to "win it, dispute it" and "get out of here with a half smile at least"; for what he considered to be "evident" that one of the keys to the meeting will be fatigue, so "it will be necessary not to make mistakes", be "solid" and play every minute "at a good level" .
