The West Ham sports director resigns for Roberto Jiménez

The bad performances of the Spanish goalkeeper in the Premier League have led to the departure of Mario Husillos, who had recommended his hiring.

Roberto Jiménez, the 33-year-old goalkeeper who has gone through Atlético de Madrid, Nàstic, Recreativo de Huelva, Benfica, Zaragoza, Olympiacos, Málaga and Espanyol, now plays for West Ham United in the Premier League.

The Spaniard has been able to play seven games in the English league this season thanks to the injury of his partner, the Polish Lukasz Fabianski. However, Roberto has made mistakes in many of those matches and as a result (not only his fault), his team did not reap a single victory in those duels (five losses and two draws) .

But their actions have brought even more serious consequences, since they have forced a member of the board to resign, as the Guardian pointed out in his day and as A Bola now picks up. And is that the West Ham sports director, Mario Husillos, has left office because of the goalkeeper, since it was precisely the Argentine who recommended the hiring of the goalkeeper. His signing made the club, which marches in the 15th place in the standings, lose confidence in him.
