Rory Sutherland breaks her leg with a scooter

The Australian suffered an accident with an electric motorcycle during Israel's preseason in Tel Aviv and needed surgery on the femur.

Rory Sutherland has started the preseason badly with his new team for 2020, the Israel Start-Up Nation. The 37-year-old Australian, one of the 17 signings of the Israeli squad, broke his leg when he suffered a fall when he returned to the team's concentration hotel in Tel Aviv riding an electric scooter.

He had to be taken to the Ichilov General Hospital and there he was operated in the upper section of the femur on Wednesday afternoon. "We don't think it was so serious, but it has been," said team manager Kjell Carlstrom in statements collected by Cycling News. "We don't have the diagnosis yet," he added

At the moment the runner, who in 2019 has provided his services in the UAE and previously went through Rabobank, United Healthcare, Tinkoff and Movistar, had to be absent from the official presentation of the team, scheduled for that same Wednesday, and will be out of play during months
