Peñarol - National: when and how is the title defined?

The goal on Lords time allows Peñarol to fight for the Clausura title. However, National was first in the annual table and there will be definition by the championship.

When everything seemed expensive for Nacional, a goal from Lords headed complicated things. Peñarol and the Bag tied at the top of the table of the Clausura which causes that they have to play the title of the second tournament of the Uruguayan league in a tiebreaker.

Peñarol - Nacional: When is the final played by the Clausura tournament?

The Uruguayan league argues that the final for the Clausura title will be played on Wednesday, December 11. The schedule will be established by the organization and the teams, although it would be normal for it to be scheduled for 08:00 pm at night. It will be a tiebreaker to a match that will be played on the National court.

Peñarol - National: How is the annual title defined?

There are two possible options depending on the outcome of the Clausura final:

If Peñarol wins the Clausura, the Uruguayan will be played against a two-game final.

If National does it, before the final to two matches Peñarol must overcome a semifinal to a match, also before National.

Be it final or semifinal, the first match would be played on Sunday 15.
