Monaco-PSG will be held on January 15

The LFP has confirmed that the meeting suspended due to the rains will be held in January 2020.

As planned, Monaco-PSG will not be held until next year. The match that was going to close on matchday 15 of Ligue 1 has already been rescheduled for January 15, as confirmed by the LFP in a statement.

One of the main reasons for playing in January has been the tough requirement of the PSG calendar. The Parisians could have had a month of February with a heart attack, with matches during the week for practically a month and a half, and that is why the LFP has agreed to the club's claim to advance the date of the meeting.

Monaco-PSG was suspended on Sunday due to heavy rains that fell in southeastern France. The conditions of the pitch were impracticable and therefore the decision was taken immediately. However, the PSG wanted to play at all times due to the hardness of the calendar that will face from January
