The eight-time champion predicts that Fabio Quartararo will be his great rival for the MotoGP World Championship in the coming years.

Márquez:-"I-run-to-win-and-make-people-have-a-good-time"

"The adrenaline of competing. I run to win and make people, my people, have a good time. That motivates me to compete every race Sunday." This is the confession Marc Márquez made in an interview with the monthly RACC magazine about the energy that drives him every season to continue improving his records in the MotoGP World Championship.

Marquez, who is in Cervera recovering from the operation he underwent on November 27 on his right shoulder at the Dexeus University Hospital to cure the subluxation that he had been dragging in this joint since late October, notes 2014 and Malaysian Grand Prix 2019 as the happiest moments he has lived in the championship, as well as rectify some events that occurred during 2015.

"Choosing a moment, and only one, is very difficult, since living so intensely every year is impossible. Now, 2014 and this year in Malaysia have been two very happy moments, because both my brother and I have achieved the World Cup in our categories, thinking about what I could have done better, and if I could go back, of course, maybe I would rectify some aspects of the 2015 season, during which I fell into many races; also, in some falls that I have I could have been more conservative in order not to injure myself, but, in the end, I have my driving style, and I'm risky. For me, a good driver has to be fast, and who wants to be a champion, in addition, has to know how to think when he is riding on the bike, "says the eight-time champion.

Similarly, the Repsol Honda rider points to Fabio Quartararo as the great rival that will dispute the title over the next few years, as he points out that he began to be aware that he could be a professional MotoGP rider in the future after winning the World Cup of 125cc: "I thought about it when I won the 125cc World Cup or after the Portuguese GP that same year with the victory when I was starting from the last position. During those weeks I realized that I could dedicate myself to this professionally and get to MotoGP Fabio Quartararo, who, by the way, has also had the help of the RACC, will be my next great rival ".
