Cucho Hernández, the last vermilion to mark Barça

The Colombian striker is, together with Álex Alegría, the only footballer in Mallorca who has done something to FC Barcelona. In addition, the Cucho debuts in a call this campaign.

Mallorca will live before Barça one of the peak moments for the newly promoted to the highest category: visit the Camp Nou, one of the best stadiums in LaLiga. And it does so with a template that is composed, mostly by the backbone of the two ascents in a row. That is why it is more difficult to find players who have done something to the Blaugrana. But the last to do so, Cucho Hernández, will live a very special moment.

Cucho Hernandéz was the last player of Mallorca to score a goal in Barça. However, it was with the Huesca shirt last season. It is the same case as that of Álex Alegría, the other footballer of the current team of Vermilion that has scored a goal for Barcelona. Extremadura did a bit with Betis at Benito Villamarín in the 2016/2017 season. No player of the current squad of Mallorca has scored a goal against the Blaugranas with the elastic red and black.

In addition to last year's goal, it will also be a very special match for Cucho. The Colombian attacker, who arrived on Mallorca last summer market, experienced a hamstring injury that has kept him out for the first four months of the season. His call to Barça is the first of the season for him.

The return of the Colombian to the dynamics of Mallorca is great news for the club, including Vicente Moreno. The coach highlighted it in the previous meeting: "He is a level player who has experience in the first division, who when he has played in Second has given a fantastic level and has already been in Spain and has performed well."

His goal with Huesca at Camp Nou

Precisely, the only goal that Cucho Hernández has made for Barcelona was at Camp Nou. And it has a very particular history. Huesca arrived in Barcelona on day 3 after adding four points in his first two games in First and with confidence in the clouds. A confidence that became greater with the goal of the Colombian, who arrived in minute 3 and put the 0-1 on the scoreboard.

Miramon focused from the right wing, Longo picked up the leather on the second stick and Cucho crossed into the small area and touched the ball just enough to fool Ter Stegen. That much made Barça wake up, which ended up endorsing an 8-2 team from the Oscanse team on their first visit to Camp Nou.

Almost 500 days later, Cucho Hernández returns to Camp Nou where it can mean his debut with Mallorca, a club that bid very hard in summer for his services. The Balearic team has not scored in the Camp Nou for nine years (2009/2010 season) and eleven without winning. That last victory, in the 2007/2008 campaign, came from the hand of Gregorio Manzano by 2-3 thanks to the goals of Borja Valero, Webó and Dani Güiza, who finished pichichi of the League that season.
