Alcaraz renews for one more season

The midfielder extends his contract with Real Valladolid until June 30, 2023

Rubén Alcaraz will be blanquivioleta for one more season than those initially foreseen in his contract. The midfielder has extended his contract with Real Valladolid until June 30, 2023, 365 days beyond the final date that established his previous link with the club.

The Catalan midfielder, who arrived in Pucela in the summer of 2018 transferred from Almería, thus becomes the third player to renew so far this season, after previously doing Anuar and Toni, also until 2023. Also, its extension succeeds that of his coach, Sergio Gonzalez, who recently signed until 2022.

Although this campaign has barely been able to play seven games, in which it accumulates 418 minutes, it is a pillar valued as fundamental by the sports management, a circumstance that Miguel Ángel Gómez noted weeks ago when talking about the possibility of renewal. Not surprisingly, he was a key piece in his first course as a blanquivioleta, in which he played 34 games, all of them as a starter, and in which he scored four goals.

His good work last year came to place him as a player capable of being transferred, since he uncovered the interest of several clubs. However, he opted to stay, as Gómez also explained, which invited him to update his contractual situation by virtue of his status within the template.

"He was able to leave, but he did not do it because he is comfortable and wants to be important. Seeing the value he has we must recognize what he deserves," said the sports director on the last day of the transfer market. This has happened with this new contract, which Alcaraz will value next Monday at a press conference.
