The Audience of Madrid has acquitted the former soccer player and current coach of the Real Sociedad subsidiary, Xabi Alonso, of three crimes against the Public Treasury in the years of 2010, 2011 and 2012 for which the Prosecutor's Office requested two and a half years in prison .

The Court has notified on Tuesday the ruling of the sentence, to which Efe has had access, which exempts criminal responsibility for the facts for which Alonso and the other two defendants were being accused. This is his tax advisor Iván Zaldúa and Ignasi Maestre, then administrator of a company based in Madeira (Portugal), to which Alonso allegedly ceded his image rights in 2009.
