Spain presents its trail medal options in Chengdu

Sergi Llongueras in 26 "and Alejandro Montalvo, Borja Conejos and Ion Areitio in 20" will look for the medal in their respective finals. Alberto Moya was eighth in the Flatland final.


Spain presented its medal options on Friday in the trail mode at the Urban Cycling World Championships that are being held in the Chinese city of Chengdu.

In trial category 26 "Sergi Llongueras, champion of the modality in 2018, has gotten into the final in which he will try to revalidate the title. Llogueras has qualified after being third in the semifinals while Abel Mustieles and Pol Tarrés have stayed out of the finalists places

Meanwhile, in the final of trial 20 ", Spain will have three representatives with clear medal options after Alejandro Montalvo, Borja Conejos and Ion Areitio have reached the final as first, second and fifth place respectively. He failed to access the fight for the medals Benito Ros, who finished in eighth position

In the only final with Spanish participation today, Alberto Moya finished eighth in BMX Flatland after making some mistakes that deprived him of fighting for the medals. Gold went to Czech Dominik Nekolny, silver to Frenchman Matthias Dandois and bronze to Japanese Moto Sasaki.
