Pesic: "We didn't start well and Madrid played perfect"

The Barca coach acknowledges that Madrid was just the winner, noting that they made the game very difficult after the break: "it is not easy to build and believe with them in front."

Svetislav Pesic, coach of Barcelona, attributed to his defense and the lack of patience in attack the keys of the defeat against Real Madrid on the eighth day of Euroleague (86-76) which he considered just winner. "We did not start very well and Madrid played perfect. In the second quarter we started to play as we can, but as always the third quarter is a new game and Madrid was again excellent, with energy and we could not find the rhythm" said Pesic.

"When you go 6-10 points down on the scoreboard you need to improve in defense and attack play with patience and we did not. Madrid deserved the victory," he added. The start of the third quarter was also important for the Barcelona coach. "In basketball, the third quarter is important and more if the score is even. We played counterattacks and made transitions, but if you face a team like Real Madrid it is not easy to build and believe," concluded Svetislav Pesic.
