Pelé: "It's as if God is asking me for the bill"

Pelé spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his current state of health, about the toughest defense he has faced and confessed next to which current star he would have wanted to play.

Pele spoke at La Gazzetta dello Sport, just fifty years after his famous thousandth goal in Maracana against Vasco da Gama. The former Brazilian player, who has had health problems, explained his current status: "Although I have some ailments, I feel good, but it is as if God were asking me for the bill."

On the other hand, he talked about his sports career and confessed that Trapattoni has been the toughest defender he has faced due to his characteristics, dropping that the Argentines and the English were going from aggressive in their entrances: "Trapattoni was the best defender against which I have played, relentless and correct. Not like the English and Argentines. How many kicks they gave me ... ".

Finally, he acknowledged that although he admires Cristiano Ronaldo and hopes that Neymar continues to grow, if he could have shared the field with one of the current stars, he would have liked to play alongside Leo Messi.
