Martínez: "It's hard to be happy as a coach and I am here"

Diego Martínez was renewed until 2021 as coach of Granada and, after signing, he was very happy in the Nasrid club, in which he has already completed 500 days "being happy"

Granada made official the renovation of Diego Martínez until 2021 yesterday, establishing the basis of the project that has led him to ascend in his first year and sign a start to the season in the highest incredible category. "Beyond the professional relationship with the board, I think that the relationship of trust has been endorsed in the battle, in solving problems. I thank you for your trust and support, for believing in this," said the Galician coach.

Diego Martínez has been one of the great architects of the good moment of Granada, but for the coach the important thing: "We have established some values and a way of feeling and everyone is a participant. There is a complicity in the day to day. Thanks to the fans that supports us beyond the results. I am happy and I want to continue growing and feeling that complicity. " The coach has completed 500 days in Los Cármenes: "It is very difficult to feel happy as a coach and I have been happy here for five hundred days. I hope to continue growing with the club and with more desire than ever I want to continue working" .

"The pillars to grow are stability, shared vision in which everyone creates and sports values to be competitive. All of this joins and goes hand in hand and I am living here," explained the technician who stays with a day in particular of those 500 days of rojiblanco: "Mallorca will always be special. It was a very emotional week. When we go to play, those moments will be in our head." On Wednesday, as soon as the training begins, the players have paid tribute to the coach and his coaching staff, which he has also renewed, making him a hallway. Although one of the points that I have most emphasized has been in the fans and their connection with it: "It is important the love of the fans, always beyond the results. I remember the presentation, when we wanted to feel identified and we have achieved it. It is an excited and identified hobby ".

"There are three important pillars: stability, shared look and sports values, to make a competitive team," he said and recalled that the most important thing is always the players: "The leader is the team. The protagonists are always the players" .
