Fifteenth duel between Machín and Bordalás

The two technicians have faced both Second and First Division turning their duels into bench classics.

The duels between José Bordalás and Pablo Machín have become classics in recent years, with clashes in First and Second Division, competing for promotions and sharing joys and dislikes. Sunday in Cornellá will be the fifteenth confrontation between the two, with a balance of seven wins for the soriano, three draws and four wins for the Getafe coach so far.

It will be the fourth match in the highest category, with absolute equality in the results and with Machín measuring Bordalás in the third different bench (Girona, Sevilla and Espanyol), while the Valencian has remained this time in the Coliseum. The last time they met was last season. Then the Getafe won at Sánchez Pizjuán with an Angel double and complicated the situation of the Soriano coach, who would be dismissed days later.

For more than six years, Getafe has not won in the Espanyol field, although it is not a stadium that has been badly historically. The azulones returned to work on Monday without the internationals, they will rest on Tuesday and from Wednesday they will begin to prepare the Sunday clash with all the troops except Bergara who is still injured and Nyom who will serve a penalty against Espanyol.
